We are delighted to have welcomed some special visitors this month to lead our assemblies. A special thank-you to Bellaghy BB captain WJ Bruce, our Chair of Governors Timothy Dowie and to Edith Blair, our local GB Captain.
What a wonderful afternoon we had in the Dragon’s Den! Thank you to our ‘dragons’ Ruth, Paul and Richard for assessing our presentations, looking over our business plans and scrutinising the profit margins.
Congratulations to all children involved on your wonderful ideas, your public speaking skills and your ability to answer some very challenging questions.
The winning project is ‘Peculiar Pots’ - a very innovative and environmentally friendly project which involves up cycling containers and making them into decorative plant pots.
Well done also to our runners up ‘Epic Events.’

Pray for Ukraine
In school, our thoughts have been with the people of Ukraine over these past few weeks. We have created this lovely display in our hall. P1 and P2 children made sunflowers, P3 and P4 children made Motanka dolls and P5, P6 and P7 wrote prayers.
We were delighted to welcome Sarah and Saphira Torrens to school today. They spoke to our children about living in Ukraine. The children found their talk so informative and Mrs Richmond was delighted to present them with a cheque for £1000. This money will be used to help teachers and children who have been displaced because of the war, enabling them to continue their education.
